The answer is b.) If you are in good to average health, you should get your cholesterol level checked every two years at a minimum. Aim for a cholesterol level of 200 or less. If yours is higher, you should plan regular follow-ups with your doctor to determine your cholesterol level and together plan a strategy that moves you toward your goal.

Statins are a prescribed medication that can reduce cholesterol levels by 60 points or more, but many people are unaware of them. How many Americans are lowering their cholesterol with statins now?
a.) More than half of those who would benefit are taking statins now
b.) Fewer than half of those who would benefit are taking statins now
